Driving Directions
Don Pedro Island is located west of Cape Haze, and
is only accessible by boat or ferry.
Hours of Operation
Florida state parks are open from 8 a.m. until sundown
365 days a year.
Don Pedro Island is part of an extensive chain of
barrier islands extending along the Gulf Coast of
Florida. Located in Charlotte County between Knight
Island and Little Gasparilla Island, Don Pedro Island
has approximately one mile of beach that has been
acquired for use as a state recreation area.

Boating, Fishing, Picnicking, Scuba Diving, and
Swimming
Picnicking
A picnic pavilion, restroom facility, tables and
grills are available on the island.
Swimming
Year-round swimming in the Gulf of Mexico, sunbathing
and shelling. Caution should be taken when swimming
as there are no lifeguards on duty at this site.
Visitors are reminded that it is prohibited to remove
live shells (hermit crabs, sand dollars, etc.).
